This informal group of fiber fanatics meets each Friday at Chautauqua Artisans Market, 629 N. River St, between 10 AM and 12 Noon. Participants spin, weave, knit, crochet, quilt or just visit and gain inspiration seeing what others are working on. If you need help with a project or just want an easy-going fiber support group to visit, join us any Friday morning. All are welcome

*Private or small group classes are available. Custom class series can be created for home-school groups or others. They may include; frame loom weaving, fiber dyeing with drink mixes or acid dyes, learning to spin with a drop spindle, rigid heddle weaving, needle or wet felting, crochet, or knitting.

Linda Illumanardi was born and raised in the mountains of Vermont, toddling behind her grandmother reciting the names of local weeds, flowers, and trees. Now in California, she does the same thing with her 3 grandsons, basket in hand, gathering gently leaves from trees that become the content and design of her books, fabric, and ceramics.

Sept 22-24, 2020 Join Linda Illumanardi for a 3 day workshop beginning with unraveling the mystery of printing on protein (silk) and cellulose (cotton) fabrics. This will lead into the effects of specific modifiers, using copper, iron, tannic acid, and botanical dyes.

Botanical Printing on Paper, Leather & the Making of Book Structures - September 26-28, 2020 Join Linda Illumanardi for a 3 day workshop beginning with gathering local leaves and printing them on a variety of papers and leather for dazzling effects. Using pre-mordanted paper and a variety of natural modifiers and discharge blankets, students will experience the joy of printing on both paper and leather.
This class is a steal at $295 plus $75 material fee.
